Jaime Torres is an award winning director and cinematographer, who strongly values strong commitment to a project, building quality among production, and has received recognition for his work, including winning Best Cinematographer and best director for Mojave Shadows, Tell, Anguish and Open mic.

He had attended film school at New York Film Academy, where he learned all aspects of film production, and over time, he began exploring different techniques in his profession as a cinematographer.

As a cinematographer, he is credited on a number of acclaimed films as well; these include seven-time award-winner Open Mic, four-time award-winner Life Line, Canada Shorts Film Festival and European Independent Film Award award-winner Lux Ex Caelis, London Independent Film Awards and LA Shorts Awards award-winner My Sister, Hollywood Film Competition and LA Shorts Awards award-winner Mistress Jane, Hollywood Blood Horror Festival award-winner Wiped, Mindfield Film Festival Los Angeles award-winner Are You Jealous?, and more.

He has shot various shorts, commercials, narrative features, and documentaries, including shooting for several segments for PBS SoCal.

His main goal is to network, and also provide social awareness within the film medium, and I hope to gain these by collaborating with like minded people who share the same stories of social awareness, who have something to contribute in the world of cinema, and push the medium as a tool of expression.
